Mission

The National Parks Service Mission is to preserve the unimpaired resources for the use of future generations.

This is accomplished by the National Park Service cooperating with many different partners including: national heritage areas, the National Park Foundation, Indian Tribes, and State Historic Preservation Officers just to name a few. The NPS partnered with these different groups works to extend the benefits of natural and cultural resources and allow use of outdoor recreation throughout the many parks all across the country and in the world.
